Pre- and post-doctoral applicants will be asked to provide a summary of their research interests and career plans, a description of how their research and career will benefit from obtaining further exposure to transdisciplinary research methods and concepts, a letter from their mentor, and transcripts. Faculty will be asked to provide a similar narrative of their interests and plans, to identify and obtain a letter of support from a TTURC faculty mentor who will supervise their training, and to obtain a letter of support from their Department Chief indicating that sufficient time will be made available for the faculty member to perform his or her research and take part in TTURC activities.
Applications are considered by the Career Development Committee as they are received, until all training slots are filled. Decisions are made on the basis of past academic performance, relevance of the applicant's research and career plans, potential to benefit from exposure to transdisciplinary training, potential for leadership, and suitability of mentorship.
